Position Description
About SEI
SEI is a leading global provider of institutional and private client wealth management solutions, including asset management, investment processing, and investment operations. We help professional wealth managers, institutional investors and private investors create and manage wealth -- and enable their long-term success by providing solutions that are both comprehensive and innovative.
The SEI Wealth Platform intends to recruit and develop business focused graduate students to contribute fresh perspectives and ideas to SEI’s business while providing them with meaningful real-world business experiences.
We seek interns from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and academic disciplines. A successful intern is detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, entrepreneurial, and always seeking to improve. Interns should be effective communicators, team players, problem-solvers, and, most of all, innovators.
MBA Business/Quality Analyst Intern
As a member of the SEI Wealth Management Scrum Teams, the Business and Quality Analyst Intern will work with various solution and product managers in defining and building the functional requirements to support SEI's technical platforms (client, intermediary and operational) and processes. As a key scrum team member in our Agile Process, the Business/Quality Analyst Intern will create user stories and acceptance criteria to be leveraged by both technical team members and product owners.
Program Outline
This 10-week program (beginning in early June) will give interns exposure to the many aspects of the SEI Wealth Platform’s diverse functionality and introduce them to some of the most fundamental theories of business. This program will also begin developing the behavioral skills required to be successful in the corporate world. In order to accomplish this, we will provide:
Thoughtful placement in the platform with an immediate opportunity to participate on an agile delivery team.
Will work directly with different business units developing critical user stories for agile development.
An in-depth orientation, during which interns will learn about SEI from senior leadership.
A hands-on position which will provide them with the ability to gain real work experience.
A series of seminars focused on developing the skills required to be successful in the business world.
An extensive case-study competition through which interns will learn about other areas of SEI’s business, interact with senior management, and have the opportunity to present to SEI’s executive board.
