Kearney has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Alexandria, VA area team. The Senior Associate will be a core team member on an integrated financial and acquisition management solution migration for a government agency. This position requires understanding of systems development life-cycle processes, financial systems capabilities, financial management processes, functional and technical requirements, and testing of the solution’s functionality. Additional skills and responsibilities are defined below:
Required Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Provide clear communications and recommendations to agency program management office (PMO) and to financial system service provider
• Responsible for the general governance, oversight and coordination of the financial system migration
• Support the requirements gathering process, gap analysis, and management of functional and technical requirements
• Develop and help implement department-wide policies and standards
• Respond to data calls from internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and/or review draft program artifacts prepared by various teams and provide feedback to the client, i.e. concept of operations, operational requirements document, test plans, schedules and requirements traceability matrix
• Participate in management-level, integrated project team, and working group meetings and complete assigned tasks
• Provide subject matter technical expertise to the agency PMO and functional teams in various financial management areas, i.e. general ledger accounting, financial reporting, budget, acquisition management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.
• Provide test and evaluation support, i.e. development of test plans, test scripts, evaluation criterion, and coordination
• Prepare and manage the submission of deliverables to the client
• Ensure that the team meets required milestones and monitor overall program performance
• Supervise and review work performed by other staff
• Develop people through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff
• Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management
• Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn
Required Experience:
• BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with a major in Accounting
• Minimum 4 years of financial management, financial systems implementation, accounting and/or auditing experience required
• Minimum 2-3 years of Microsoft Office suite experience, i.e. Access, Visio, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to obtain a U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship)
