Description
In collaboration with Corporate Property and Lease Administration Director, this individual manages governance tools and keeps track of the execution of the overall Corporate Property strategy. Responsible for tracking critical dates and the execution of assigned real estate transactions, the Corporate Property Associate oversees the entire process of collaborating with third parties (brokers, owners, tenants) and internal departments (project/facilities management, distribution, legal, financial, organizations, etc.) to ensure the accomplishment of the owner’s goals and objectives while meeting all and any legal requirements. In addition, the Corporate Property Associate analyzes and assesses the potential cost savings and enhanced location opportunities, and will be a contact point for internal and external resources to support and execute an effective and strategic real estate program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Closely work with Corporate Property and Lease Administration Director to make sure governance tools are updated, and keep track of the execution of the Corporate Property Strategy
• Oversee site selection, evaluate site, preview sites, evaluate potential deals, conduct due diligence, establish value-add strategy, prepare materials for internal analysis, and handle other tasks which arise during a commercial real estate transaction including all necessary internal approvals gathering
• Implement follow-up programs with correspondence, visual presentations, etc. using existing templates and/or by developing new materials appropriate for particular situations
• Implement asset periodical plans that govern daily operations and the position in the market; including, market analysis and strategies for relocation, expansion or disposition in collaboration with Corporate Property and Lease Administration Director
• Ensure that Santander’s standards are followed with respect to lease, sublease, purchase and sale negotiations and administration
• Directly manages all external Real Estate partner relationships with the Corporate Property and Lease Administration Director
• Ensure that all parties are aligned with project objectives
• Frequently interface with internal clients, building owners, property managers and real estate brokers
• Work with stakeholders on Real Estate project strategies, budget, resource requirements timelines and approvals
• Prepare financial analyses and business case documents and presentations, as necessary, to support Santander objectives
• Prepares lease activity updates, regular financial reports, and validates brokerage invoices
• Travel may constitute 15% of time

Qualifications
• At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience is required
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree
• Expertise with Microsoft Office products (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access) is required
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills
