Job Details
CNO Financial Group, headquartered in Carmel, IN, is seeking a Banking Specialist to join our Treasury team.
This individual is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and processing bank related activity, performing bank fee analysis, completing budgets and forecasts, preparing documentation and supporting general department activities. The Banking Specialist will report to the Treasury Manager but will work closely with the entire department.
Key responsibilities / deliverables include:
• Bank account fee analysis review, forecasting and journal entry preparation
• Monitoring of State Deposit accounts, including maintaining compliance requirements
• Initiation of ACH and wire transfers on a weekly basis
• Preparation of several types of Treasury documentation in Microsoft Word and Excel, including opening and closing bank accounts, bank system user documentation and merger and acquisition documentation
• Work on projects as warranted
• Annual bank fee budget preparation
• Daily reporting of outstanding check balances and pending payment
• Reseach items as warranted for department, company and third parties
• Treasury office supply management
• Responsible for off-site record tracking / destruction
Requirements for Job include:
• High School diploma required; Business degree or related field experience highly preferred
• 3+ years bank experience a plus
• Knowledge of treasury workstations, bank fee analysis software and the understanding of accounting principles a plus
• Advanced data entry skills and able to work independently to resolve system problems
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Solid communication skills
• Detail oriented, fast learner, ability to multi-task and good organization skills
• Ability to make sound analytical decisions and have solid time management skills
