First Data’s Product Development, Client Solutions and Technology functions are responsible for innovation and advancement of our technology solutions across all of our client segments, and make a critical contribution to ensuring that First Data retains its position as a leading technology innovator. Our Product Development teams are responsible for end-to-end ownership of the product life cycle. Our Client Solutions teams deliver global solutions and expertise that make commerce possible. Our Technology teams develop a wide range of applications and solutions that enable next-generation commerce and create the infrastructure of the global commerce ecosystem. They also ensure that our data remains secure through their work in cyber-security.
First Data is looking for a Senior Program Director for our Sandy Springs location. This is a full-time role.
Position Description Overview:
The Program Director is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects, and in many cases, ongoing operations which are directed toward a common objective. Accountable for delivering programs on time, within budget, and within scope, this individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure.
The Program Director exemplifies the highest level of initiative and leadership skills and acts as a mentor for more junior members of the department. This role requires frequent interaction with Senior, Executive Leadership, both within First Data and client organizations requiring some level of account management skills as well.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensures project methodologies, project delivery processes, and implementation management processes are followed.
This includes managing and driving:
• Project/Program Schedule
• Risk and Issue Management
• Scope Change Management
2. Manages the program budget. This includes understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking, and managing project resources effectively.
3. Provides clear and concise project communication; both written and verbal.
4. Facilitates/manages project communications and stakeholder, client and project team expectations.
5. Experience managing and delivering Mobile app. integration Programs/Projects involving multiple partners/vendors
Scope of Job
Works with multiple programs/systems on projects of moderate to high complexity within multiple development environments. Demonstrate high productivity and the ability to effectively multi-task across different initiatives. Provides technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to less experienced individuals. Oversees training of team members.
Autonomy
Works independently with senior management and technical groups globally. Utilization of business, functional and/or technical expertise to effectively develop and execute the test strategy and planning activities.
Job Requirements:
• Proficient in working with Jira and Confluence
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proven success in delivering projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
• Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
• Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options and recommendations relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks, and resolving escalated items.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, plus 6+ years progressive management experience, including management of major projects in a large operating environment. Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies and aligning the two to delivery projects.
PMP preferred or any additionals certifications.
