Job Description
Visa’s Global Business Continuity organization is seeking a high caliber Business Continuity Analyst to join the Business Continuity Management department.
At Visa, the Global Business Continuity (GBC) organization protects corporate assets from significant business interruptions by optimizing risk management and building operational resiliency. The Global Business Continuity organization is made up of three departments: Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management, and IT Disaster Recovery.
As a global brand that connects merchants, banks and consumers, it is important that Visa is resilient through its preparedness and response to major disasters, outages and disruptions. Business Continuity Management (BCM) is looking for a highly driven Analyst that can provide active support to ensure business functions and processes can be recovered in the event of a significant business disruption. The position may occasionally require off-business hour availability.
Specific Responsibilities Include
• Responsible for the global implementation of the Business Continuity Management cycle: Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Exercises.
• Conduct BIA interviews with senior leadership across the enterprise to update process profiles, impact assessments, and identify dependencies
• Work with BCP managers to develop and improve business continuity plans in an organized, auditable manner.
• Help coordinate annual exercising of business continuity plans and recovery teams
• Conduct variance analysis to identify any possible gaps between business needs and technology/process recovery capabilities
• Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into the proper format in order to convey messaging across technical and business domains
• Foster relationships and develop networking opportunities to gather and disseminate business continuity information.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and champion for business continuity
• Work with a wide array of stakeholders across business disciplines and hierarchies.
• Be proactive and handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, prioritize and manage numerous independent tasks
• Document BIA results, BCP procedures, training materials and policies
• Assist in the production of audit events
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Emergency Planning, Technology, or Finance required
• A minimum of one year of experience in a Business Continuity related area
• BC Certification is strongly desired (ABCP, CBCP, CBCI, AMBCI, FEMA, etc)
• Outstanding analytical skills, able to resolve business problems with well structured analyses
• Self motivated and willing to utilize and learn new technology to solve problems
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communications skills, capable of developing well structured dashboards, communications packages, or presentations
• Strong collaboration and influence skills to lead cross functional teams to drive deliverables, projects, and engagements to completion
• Understanding of industry best practices, FFEIC standards, or ISO22301
• Strong Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Data driven - can draw insightful conclusions from raw data sets
