Healthcare Consultant - Accounts Receivable Specialist
CliftonLarsonAllen, one of the nation’s largest public accounting and professional services firms with more than 50 years of experience of providing excellent service to our clients and great career opportunities for our people is seeking aHealthcare Consultant - Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Milwaukeeoffice. This position is knowledgeable in the area of payer reimbursement policies. Accounts receivable medical billing specialists will primarily focus on reviewing and working the accounts receivable aging reports, e.g. submitting corrected claims, drafting appeals, working with insurance carriers to reconcile accounts.
• Possess the ability to communicate with billing managers or client management to resolve issues
• Possess the ability to analyze and review processing of insurance claims, draft and submit medical appeals, correcting and re-submitting claims to third party payers
• Train client internal staff on appropriate accounts receivable processes
• Identifying and correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims to insurance carriers
• Providing review and remittance advice for payment errors, denials, and under payments
• Following up on denied or unpaid claims
• Calling insurance companies to follow up on claims
• Submitting denials and appeals when necessary
Requirements
• Five or more years required experience in specialty insurance collections in a medical facility/practice or for a revenue cycle management company.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Receivable is required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality at all times.
• Strong computer skills to be able to utilize a variety of software applications is required.
• Experience with Dynamics GP is preferred.
• Two year degree in Accounting is preferred.
• This position requires frequent local travel to/from client sites and may require occasional non-local or overnight travel for client visits, training, meetings and/or other business-related purposes.
