Position Description

The Hedge Fund Investor Servicing/Transfer Agency Operations Analyst will be responsible for assisting the staff with the daily, monthly, and other periodic functions within the Hedge Fund Transfer Agency and Investor Servicing department. This individual will assist in investor reporting and follow standards and procedures.
The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:
Investor Servicing
Monitor daily escrow account activity and complete the daily reconciliation of money movement to investor documentation
Prepare wire instructions for money movement for fund subscriptions and redemptions
Track and process subscription documents for new investors and maintain investor files
Follow and support AML procedures for all investor subscriptions and redemptions
Process and compile investor subscription and redemption requests by applying appropriate notification and minimum requirements as set forth in the fund legal documents
Maintain monthly capital activity report and distribute report to client on a periodic basis
Notify client of money movement on a daily basis
Enter and maintain investor demographic information in partnership accounting system, Advent Partner, or InvesTier
Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to clients
Be responsible for the preparation of selected investor reporting and coordinate the distribution to investors
Assist as liaison with outsourced operations and client communication
Meet client and investor reporting deliverable deadlines
Provide to accounting and processing departments monthly reporting for investor capital processing and monthly reconciliation
Facilitate communication within alternatives servicing department, both in the U.S. and Dublin
Support offshore investor servicing for jointly serviced clients with Dublin office when necessary
Strictly adhere to established departmental procedures and controls
Perform administrative functions related to funds under administration
Elevate and assist with problem and error resolution on a timely basis (with documentation)
Transfer Agency
Oversee the provision to accounting departments of monthly reporting for investor capital processing and monthly reconciliation
Ensure that client and investor deliverable requirements are met on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Gain an in-depth understanding of domestic partnership accounting, and the use of Advent Partner and InvesTier allocation systems
Prepare allocations to investors and statements, as well as other reporting, according to client deliverable timelines
Gain the ability to utilize and interpret the legal documentation for hedge funds as it applies to the allocation of components of income, management and performance fee calculations
Assist in the resolution of programming and systems issues and requirements with internal and external support groups
Elevate and assist with problem and error resolution on a timely basis (with documentation)
Follow strict departmental procedures and controls and maintain zero tolerance for error
Assist with communication within the department, as well as with the investor, client, financial reporting and internal/external audit
Assist with communication within alternatives servicing department both in the U.S. and Dublin.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
BA / BS in Business, Finance, Mathematics or Economics or 1 year equivalent experience preferred
Internship or one year professional experience preferred
Knowledge of the fund services industry
Willingness to learn new systems, concepts and broaden knowledge in the industry
Detail-oriented
Team player
Flexible
Individual who takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities
Strong aptitude for numbers
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of Excel for Windows
Knowledge and expertise of investor servicing a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
