Purpose of Job
We are currently seeking talented Director, Business Intelligence Analytics for our San Antonio, TX facility.
A strategic business partner, provides direction to teams on using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to analyst and decision-makers. Manages a team responsible for collaborating with stakeholders and other data and analytical leaders to define data and analytic needs for business functional areas. Prototypes solutions for displaying information based on business needs. Provides consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
Job Requirements
• Collaborates and participates in strategic direction across enterprise with other data and analytical leaders.
• A strategic partner and subject matter expert in consulting and advising business partners on decision support solutions.
• Ensures teams maintain understanding of business processes, supporting data and applications and strategic direction.
• Directs quality work efforts, team assignments and problem resolution.
• Applies industry best practices and leverage in house resources and solutions.
• Partners with IT and process owners to provide awareness of and education on the value of strategic decision support solutions.
• Serves as a liaison between the business and IT teams; partners with IT to build USAA core analytics capabilities.
• Advises senior management on utilization of decision support solutions to inform business decisions.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a Math, Computer Science or a related discipline required (4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.) Or A Master's degree in Math, Computer Science or a related discipline Or A PhD in Math, Computer Science or a related discipline
• If Bachelor's degree, 8 or more years experience in data management or information technology function OR If Master's degree, 6 or more years experience in data management or information technology function OR If PhD, 5 or more years experience in data management or information technology function
• 3 or more years of direct and/or indirect management experience

Preferred
• Experience overseeing development and implementation of highly impactful information solutions
• Experience with Information Governance and Data Quality standards, procedures and implementation
• Expertise working with and understanding Customer, Financial Transaction and Account Data
• Experience working on Agile projects
• Experience in Cyber Security and/or Financial Crimes
***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
