Position Overview:
This position will support the Western and Northwestern Illinois bank locations.
Key Accountabilities:
• Reporting to Regional VP of Talent Management, this role will provide tactical HR support to managers and employees in a multi-charter region/s on staffing, employee relations, payroll, time tracking and other HR related issues.
• Assist the Regional VPs of Talent Management on executing on HR deliverables. Provide project, administrative and tactical support to multiple VPs of Talent Management on various projects.
• Be responsible for on-boarding of employees in the assigned region/s, inclusive of setting HR related information access and Reg U access rights, and forwarding accurate and timely information to Wintrust HR Service Center for new hire input.
• Be responsible for all terminations and off-boarding support for the assigned region/s.
• Act as liaison between employees in the regions, corporate Training and Compliance related to the completion of Reg U compliance training.
• Partner with corporate Benefits to ensure compliance for ACA variable hours tracking.
• Be main point of contact for Kronos and Payroll audit and follow up items.
• Act as liaison between regions and corporate service center.
• Support employee related charter events.
• Fulfill people related ad-hoc requests for employees and leaders in the region/s.
• Field employee & manager questions, & direct more transactional HR inquiries to the HR service center.
• Be front line of escalation for VPs of Talent Management on emerging employee relations issues.
• Engage with employees on resolution of issues, ensuring fairness, and consistency of practice, alignment with Wintrust policies and procedures, and adherence to all relevant laws.
• Engage with all stakeholders with a superior service orientation and quality.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Degree required.
• 3-7 years’ experience working in HR as a Generalist.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple charters.
• Travel between regions as needed, but no less than bi-weekly visits to each charter in assigned region.
• Maintain responsiveness to all employees within assigned region/s.
• Effectively prioritize requests, respond timely and resolve issues with speed and quality.
• Issue spot and identify emerging employee trends, surfacing information to the relevant VPs of Talent Management and the HR Service Center.
• Excellent written, interpersonal communication and telephone skills.
• High degree of detail orientation & confidentiality
