Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Associate-Intermediate-Finance/Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Develop proprietary tools and products designed to improve the Firm’s analytics used to conduct investment, risk management and business analysis. Collaborate with bankers to identify business needs and design and implement proprietary tools and application to address those needs. Test solutions, verify their validity with stakeholders, and ultimately deploy the solutions to the environment. Liaise with banking and strategies teams and their clients to develop models and tools within the Firm’s proprietary database, as well as advanced proprietary financial models in support of transaction structuring and execution. Market the developed analytics and tools internally, educating the Firm’s Strategies groups and bankers on their use and functionality.
Job Requirements: PhD or Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience with PhD or five (5) years of experience with Master’s in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with PhD or five (5) years with Master’s: utilizing a scripting language, such as Python, Java, or C; database management and querying languages, including SQL and NoSQL; applying knowledge of mathematical optimization techniques, probability theory and stochastic calculus to develop analytical solutions for US medium and large-sized corporate clients; experience building regression models using financial data; supervising, guiding and coordinating junior professionals’ work product; data analysis and utilizing data visualization software such as Tableau.
