Baird Capital seeks to a hire an experienced Vice President, Private Equity to join the Global Industrial Solutions team. The role of Vice President, Private Equity is designed for a self-motivated and ambitious individual who desires advancement. As cornerstone of the team, the role of Vice President will play an integral role in the transaction lifecycle including but not limited to thesis development, sourcing, execution of investment, board membership and exit. A successful candidate will have a strong private equity pedigree, experience working across a global platform, and a passion for industrial solutions sector.
As a Vice President, Private Equity you will:
• Partner with sector teams to identify attractive industry trends and investment and sourcing strategies.
• Cultivate and leverage a broad network to proactively source deals in an innovative and creative way.
• Manage the entirety of the deal process through diligence, terms and completion, with Partner oversight.
• Lead comprehensive diligence including but not limited to financial, market, legal and operational evaluation.
• Structure and negotiate with Senior, Subordinated lenders and Equity co-investors.
• Provides quantitative and analytical support to monitor private equity investments.

What we look for:
• At least seven years of progressive Private Equity experience including domestic and international transactions.
• Proven experience transaction lifecycle including thesis development, sourcing, due diligence, transaction lead, execution of investment, exit, portfolio execution including board membership, add on acquisition development and execution, monitoring and evaluation the investment, fund support, etc.
• Strong track record of academic; graduate degree in business administration is required.
• Strong Project Management skills with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
• Passion for Industrial Solutions with the desire to become a “Specialist” in the sector.
• Capacity to solicit “buy-in” and support from multiple global stakeholders to drive towards a “win-win” situation.
• Ability to effectively manage and resolve sensitive or difficult situations with compassion, empathy and good judgement.
• Well-developed business acumen and professional skepticism coupled with ability to “size-up” situations.
• Successful experience working with mid-sized businesses in that $25-200 Million space.
• Proven ability to work within a very collaborative team setting, while very proactively providing independent solutions.
• High emotional intelligence; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to quickly gain trust/credibility and communicate effectively across a wide-variety of audiences, including excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
