Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for originating, pricing and structuring new business transactions through a direct calling effort on high value prospects across multiple OEM, broker, and high net worth direct channels as well as current customers of the bank. In addition, this position requires the skills and experience to develop a dedicated strategic approach to all potentially impaired portfolio deals to refinance, early terminate, or restructure those transactions balancing the best interests of the customer with our business needs. It is critically important to understand and correlate the strategic goals of Citizens Asset Finance with respect to new business and identified impaired transactions within the underwriting parameters of the business in order to achieve our sales, profitability, and impairment objectives and goals.
The targeted market for new business transacted through the Citizens Asset Finance direct sales channel will be for public and privately held companies with annual revenues ranging from $100 million to $2 billion, as well as high net worth individual with new worth in excess of $25 million. The target customer base of potentially impaired transactions consists of large and mid size cabin lease transactions with well capitalized, financially sound lessees who are experienced business aircraft owners and operators.
Primary responsibilities will be:
•To directly originate tax lease, finance lease and loan transactions and achieve funded volume and profitability objectives.
•Develop detailed market penetration strategy to promote and insure a flow of on going new business opportunities.
•Develop and execute detailed account strategies for all potentially impaired transactions in collaboration with asset management and risk colleagues to minimize or eliminate our loss exposure.
•Focus on direct calling efforts, through phone calls and personal visits to customers and prospects to pursue and qualify direct sales opportunities.
•Apply market intelligence to the impairment strategy through constant communication with the OEM, broker, and charter market channels.
•Provide insight and feedback to the senior management of Citizens Asset Finance with regard to competitive and market appetite for specific types of assets, structures and pricing.
•Monitor activity including all calling activity, opportunity pipeline, impairment target list, credit submittals, approved backlog and projected fundings to accurately assess each opportunity.
•Develop strong internal working relationships with peers in the credit, asset management, documentation, portfolio management, legal and operations groups within Citizen Asset Finance and be able to balance our risk management goals with the needs of our customers and the Citizens Corporate Bankers who we jointly call with.
•Communicate clearly and concisely with both internal colleagues and external clients in order to build trust and credibility with them.
•Advanced technical competency in the areas of pricing, structuring, tax, legal and documentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
•Minimum 7 years related experience
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance desirable.
•Strong proficiency in all phases of Super Trump pricing model and familiarity with other forms of Risk Adjusted Return on Capital pricing models.
•Exceptional organizational skills.
•Strong interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal colleagues and external partners and customers.
•Proven ability to work independently in the prioritizing of business opportunities and delivering for our customers.
•Excellent written, oral presentation and analytical skills.
•Proven track record in the sales and marketing of complex equipment finance transactions.
•A developed strategic network of resource providers to assist with impaired aircraft value recovery
•Experience restructuring and negotiating impaired aircraft transactions
•Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of products.
•Familiarity with Salesforce.com.
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
