ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Director of Analytics and Strategy, you are responsible for analytics supporting both strategy and day-to-day operations of the Caring.com business. You will work closely with the CEO and other members of the executive team to build the essential tools needed to manage and grow the business. You will monitor the overall health of the business, proactively identify operational problems and opportunities, and research new products and processes.
WHAT WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH
• Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand underlying drivers and trends in the business.
• Work with leaders of Call Center, Lead Acquisition, Account Management, and Finance teams to understand their specific BI needs, and then design metrics, reports, and dashboards to support those teams.
• Build simulations and perform other custom research and analysis (e.g., to simulate call center queuing and response times)
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that the data is captured and available for reporting and analysis
• Uncover actionable insights about the millions of Caregivers we serve and turn volumes of data into product features, partnership opportunities, and other strategic interests
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
• BA/BS degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• MS, MBA or comparable business experience
• 5+ years experience in a business analytics environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to simplify the complex
• Experience with Looker and Redshift or similar ‘big data’ tools
• Top-notch communication and presentation skills, including experience communicating analyses through data with executives
• Self-starter and ability to own projects end to end
• Highly desired: strong SQL skills and proficiency in statistical programming environments like R or Python
