This role will be the lead resource in the development and management of a centralized analytics, measurement & reporting function within the Communications, Public Affairs and Policy Group (CPAPG). The director will partner with key CPAPG stakeholders to identify metrics of value and develop and drive a strategy to effectively measure the impact of the broad communication efforts and actions across diverse populations – Fidelity’s more than 40,000 associates, key influencers such as media, policymakers, regulators and legislators.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Experience building and leading business intelligence efforts including providing in-depth analysis across multiple, disparate data sources to make connections, identify trends and deliver meaningful insights that illustrate impact and drive actionable recommendations
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in analytics and measurement combined with communications and program management capabilities
• Specific certifications - None required
The Purpose of Your Role
• Lead the development of a centralized analytics, measurement & reporting service, as well as provide in-depth analyses, value-add reporting, and technical data solutions for various functional areas across the Communications, Public Affairs & Policy Group (CPAPG)
• Partner and consult with cross-functional teams to define metrics for external media coverage and internal communications effectiveness; consolidate and integrate reporting; develop efficient work processes and tools to meet business needs

The Value You Deliver
• You collect and analyze internal and external data to uncover hidden patterns, insights, observations, and trends to inform measurement plans and drive actions
• You synthesize complex data from multiple, disparate sources and present analysis, relevant insights and themes in a simple/clear way
• You tell an impactful story though use of data, and leverage analytics, technology, and visualization to identify trends as well as areas of opportunity
• You define measurement approaches/methodologies, mine data using an array of tools (e.g., SAS, Google Analytics) and bring data to life with visualization products such as Tableau
• You implement new methodologies, innovative solutions and creative approaches to measure effectiveness leveraging your subject matter expertise
• You take the lead in designing and creating an analytics dashboard for use by senior leaders to access high-level metrics of greatest impact across priority initiatives and proactive efforts
• You communicate the impact of efforts through production and distribution of quarterly insights and analysis reports for key focus areas, among others to be determined:
◦ Media coverage analysis
◦ Internal Comms Effectiveness
◦ Associate Experience and Engagement
◦ Digital experience analytics
• You consistently and proactively seek opportunities to provide value-added insight; look for continuous improvement, and seek feedback from business partners
• You exhibit a solid understanding of the business in order to function as a lead analyst and aid in the resolution of current/future issues that impact business partners across CPAPG
