Vice President, Global Debit Product Strategy & Planning
Overview
The Vice President, Global Debit Product Strategy & Planning is responsible for supporting the development and refinement of the global debit strategy in an effort to increase market share and revenue by creating a sustained competitive advantage. This role is also responsible for leading the debit planning process working closely with the global debit and ATM leads, region, and finance teams.
Role
• Facilitates the design, development and execution of the global debit and ATM strategy in partnership with senior management
• Serve as primary liaison on strategic projects, business planning, and reporting ensuring market share, GDV, and revenue gains across the regions
• Collaborates and executes with the broader MasterCard organization in areas such as communications, marketing efforts, and sales force effectiveness
• Lead cross-functional projects that have a strategic impact across regions or products
• Collaborates with the segment and region leads to build segment / regional strategies and plans to grow debit business globally, and track progress through metrics and analysis
• Execute global research, marketing, sales training and tool development to support segment strategy development and plan execution
• Acts as the key point of contact for customer discussions and is able to take a leadership role in bringing forward relevant case studies
• Manages our controllable expenses, recommending trade-offs as needed
• Support Global Debit Executive Vice President in the creation of internal and external presentations for the Board, other key MasterCard executives, and for analysts and media as well as global trade forums
All About You
• Strong analytical background coupled with ability to develop insights that help inform and impact the business
• Proven experience in strategy and planning, product management and/or payments experience a plus
• Demonstrated thought leadership rooted in understanding the implications and applications of new technologies on payment and card systems
• Flexible and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills. Experience in working under tight deadlines with shifting/competing priorities
• Superior communications, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with and ability to influence people across a matrix organization at all levels
• Management style that is pro-active with a respect for employees and their development to the highest levels of performance
