Job Summary:
Reconciles and processes payment of all default related invoices. Performs default reporting to Investors, Mortgage Insurers and Guarantors and reconcile and processes exceptions for automated default reporting. Prepares, files, and monitors default claims to investors, mortgage insurance companies, and guarantors.
This is an intermediate level role that works under moderate guidance and has no formal leadership responsibility for a team at this time.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Processes the payment of invoices paid through the interface, reconciles rejected invoice reports, exceptions, and creates work orders for paper invoices received.
2. Reviews and processes outstanding check report; researches and reissues payments when necessary.
3. Communicates with Accounting Department regarding MB general ledger accounts.
4. Assists with other team members with accounting related functions.
5. Obtains information from new vendors when necessary in order to establish an new payee.
6. Distributes checks received to appropriate Default team members.
7. Ensures investor, mortgage insurance and guarantor claims and reimbursement requests are filed in a timely manner, follows up on all claims and reimbursement requests to ensure MB Financial Bank, N.A. recoups all allowable expenses.
8. Fulfills requests documentation requested by Investors, mortgage insurance companies, and guarantors.
9. Receives and processes the application of claim proceeds from Investors, mortgage insurance companies, and guarantors and files supplemental claims when necessary.
10. Communicates with vendors' accounts receivable teams on an ongoing basis.
11. Performs additional responsibilities as needed.
Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1-3 years of Default Mortgage Servicing experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Demonstrated abilities in accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail required.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, provide superior customer service, and work well with others is required.
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and projects, and solve a variety of problems required.
• Knowledge of systems including Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to effectively set priorities and manage multiple items with sensitive time frames with minimal supervision required.
