The RELEX team in the United States is growing and is looking for a Space Planning and Assortment Consultant whose main responsibilities will be to work with RELEX North American customers throughout the implementation of Space and Assortment related offerings. You will have a key role in customer requirement gathering, process design, system deployment configuration, testing, and training. You will have the opportunity to consult with customers to provide thought leadership, business analysis, and process change to positively impact our customers’ key financial and operational measures by successfully implementing RELEX solutions. This vital role provides the opportunity to utilize project management skills and expand cross-functional knowledge of Supply Chain Management.

Desired background:
2+ years of work experience in software implementation projects with a focus on retail space planning and assortment.
Experience in space planning and category management
Experience in assortment planning, floor planning, planogram execution, space optimization, store operations and or category development
Experience with deployment or usage of other commercially available space planning and category management software solutions
Excellent academic record with bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or other relevant subject expertise
Travel will be required to visit customers on a regular basis or occasionally to meet with the RELEX teams in our other offices. There will be an onboarding and introduction phase for couple of weeks at the RELEX Space and Assortment center of excellence in our Stoke office in the UK and RELEX headquarters in Helsinki, Finland.

Experience in working with or for a Grocery / CPG / FMCG retailer or supplier
Experience in space and assortment planning, planogram execution, space optimization, store operations, category development, and or inventory management, replenishment, allocation.
Ability to understand SCM and other retail planning systems from business and IT perspectives
Capability to interact confidently with customer stakeholders
Ability to assist with project planning, risk management, change management, client relationship management and an understanding of all project lifecycle phases
Ability to gather requirements, carry out process design, training and user testing support
Entrepreneurial attitude with interest towards growing the business
Outstanding work ethic and a sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
Fluent communication skills in English, other language skills are considered a bonus.
