Responsible for monitoring reports, assisting with researching loans for HMDA data, assist with performing quarterly data scrubs, and other duties commensurate with HMDA requirements. Monitors for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and the bank’s lending policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
• Process HMDA input to core system to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Ensures that all HMDA related loans are captured in the core system and other programs for monitoring HMDA data.
• Participates in quarterly scrubs of HMDA data to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Assists in updating HMDA procedures on at least an annual basis.
• Works closely with the Compliance Department to ensure a smooth transition of HMDA data to the CRA WIZ program.
• Assists with coordinating HMDA training activities and meetings; resolves inquiries or issues relating to HMDA.
• May perform other loan servicing operational department activities as directed.
• Answers telephones, answers questions, and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
• Processes, solves, and answers complex customer transactions, problems or inquiries.
Qualifications
• High school graduation or GED and three (3) years of Banking/Financial Services experience.
• One to three (1 to 3) years of experience in Loan Servicing and HMDA Regulations and procedures.
• One to three (1 to 3) years of experience with knowledge and training in lending activities and terminology
• One to three (1 to 3) years of experience with knowledge of loan related state and federal banking compliance regulations, bank policies and procedures.
• Intermediate skills in personal computer operation; mainframe computer (FIS) system, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others; interpret documents, understand and write procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees.
• Ability to deal with intermediate problems involving multiple facets and variable in non-standardized situations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
• Ability to work occasional overtime, including some evenings and/or weekends
• Ability to travel locally and/or regionally
