Description
California Bank & Trust, a division of ZBNA with over $11 billion in assets, is currently seeking a Commercial Relationship Bankerwith strong Outside Sales experience to join its team at theLos Angeles Main location.

A successful Relationship Banker is responsible for:
• Responsible for acquiring, analyzing and maintaining client relationships.
• Servicing Lower Middle Market and Middle Market clients with their needs in commercial loans, commercial real estate loans and bank services in accordance with individually established business development goals, managed portfolio growth goals.
• Providing suitable credit, deposit or other banking services as well as counsel and advice to best meet clients' needs.
• Analyzing risks and profitability of assigned client base to ensure ongoing profitability and conformity with credit terms.
• Demonstrating clear understanding of risk management and covenant tracking procedures.
• Soliciting the sale of additional products and services to meet clients' needs.
• Developing and implementing marketing plans for expanding business.
• Negotiating loan terms and conditions.
• Remaining well versed in industrial, economic and financial situations relating to assigned clients.
• Responsible to make presentations regarding bank products and services to prospective clients and company principals, perform underwriting functions and continually monitor credit quality.
• Handling other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Prefer Bachelor degree in business, finance or a related field
• Prefer 2+ years commercial / complex consumer lending, credit associated lending and bank sales experience.
◦ A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
• Excellent commercial underwriting skills.
• MUST HAVE working knowledge of bank products, commercial credit and commercial lending techniques and procedures.
• Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross sell bank products.
• Familiarity of the sales, loan processing and closing processes.
• Ability to interview loan applicants and have good perceptive on character judgment.
• Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
• MUST HAVE advanced interpersonal, oral and written communication skills needed to create relationships with loan clients.
• Working knowledge of a software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Good analytical and negotiation skills.
• Use and/or application of basic lending principles, theories, and concepts.
• MUST know the Los Angeles CA marketplace and have a successful history of closing business.
