Position Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist II plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of tasks related to the Guild University and Human Resources functions. This role is responsible, under general supervision, for the assessment, design, delivery and evaluation of company-wide learning and development programs. This role will also liaise with professional staff and/or Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to develop and conduct both new training offerings and refresh existing training programs.
Essential Functions
• Responsible for providing effective training experiences throughout each phase of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation).
• Both independently and in collaboration with the Learning & Development Manager, responsible for the assessment, design, delivery and evaluation of company-wide learning and development programs.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend corrective measures to increase training ROI.
• Partner with professional staff or Subject Matter Experts in developing and conducting both new training offerings and refreshing existing training programs, especially focused on: Customer Service, Leadership Development, Business Acumen and Onboarding.
• Identify training needs by analyzing surveys and conducting assessment meetings of stakeholders.
• Curate/structure content and ultimately create and deliver engaging learning events.
• Stay abreast of new training approaches, tools, processes and techniques.
• Responsible for selecting relevant training methods and materials, under the supervision of the L & D Manager.
• Evaluate training program results by utilizing Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Learning Evaluation Model through conducting meetings with participants, individually assessing and assessments conducted as a team.
• Prepare LMS (Learning Management System) reports; as well as, ad hoc customization reports; maintain files and statistics on learning programs and activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management or training experience commensurate in lieu of education/degree.
• Prior experience consulting with managers and employees regarding development needs and promoting company-wide employee development initiatives, required.
• Prior experience developing and updating course content and coordinating learning curriculum, required.
• Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.
• Professional Certification(s): CPLP designation, DISC, E.Q., Coaching, Master Trainer/Facilitator, preferred.
• Training delivery of programs focused on leadership, customer service, and soft-skills, preferred.
• Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of employees, including frontline team members through executive leadership.
• Possess a broad understanding of various training delivery solutions, technologies, and programs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong detail orientation and highly organized.
• Passionate about delivering and role-modeling excellence in customer service.
• Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers.
• Ethical, with a commitment to company values.
Requirements

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
