Responsibilities
Who are you?
• Someone who has a "hunter" sales mentality.
• You are hungry and passionate about the solutions you sell and are able to translate that into net new business wins.
• An excellent communicator both when writing and speaking who can develop rapport with agents.
• You’re comfortable presenting solutions and information to existing and potential agents, and are able to clearly articulate the solutions and business value propositions to prospects.
What you get to do every day:
As the Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing market/competitor analysis, designing and recommending sales programs with short and long term sales strategies, identifying potential agents/agencies, making preliminary sales presentations, increasing agency penetration and networking with the largest and most critical agents.
Qualifications
What Skills do you possess?
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of multi-line underwriting experience, excess & surplus experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of strong sales and/or marketing required.
• Goal oriented and self-motivated to achieve and exceed sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation ability.
• Ability to establish and maintain a strong agent base.
• Must be organized with ability to manage time wisely.
