The Product team is responsible for driving Dun & Bradstreet’s product development roadmap, and developing strategic capabilities that deliver value across all product segments. Key segments include: Compliance; Sales & Marketing; Supply Chain; Trade Credit; Emerging Business.
The Director of Product Strategy & Portfolio Management is responsible for creating consistent product guidelines and principles across the D&B portfolio, leading to an exceptional customer experience. This is exciting opportunity for an experienced product manager and strategist to have an impact on the broader organization, not only in implementing best practices but in influencing overall product strategy.
The position will report to the Vice President of Global Product Portfolio Strategy & Management and work across the Global Business Solutions product lines. The individual in this role will partner closely with line of business leaders, product managers, engineering leads, customer experience, pricing strategy, finance, marketing and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
Product Portfolio & Roadmap
• Create and own a consolidated product roadmap to be used across all lines of business; establish tools, cadence and formatting to consistently maintain the product roadmap in real time, to be consumed by multiple stakeholders.
• Maintain the global product inventory. Develop a deep understanding of the various product use cases, differences and similarities.
• Continually analyze the global product inventory and roadmaps at both a company and line of business (“LOB”) level to make recommendations for improvement as well as identify trends/risks. Utilize both internal and external product/industry expertise to inform overall strategy.
Universal Product Requirements
• Using cross-LOB knowledge, develop universal product requirements of features and capabilities that should be present in every D&B product for a consistent, exceptional customer experience.
• Identify and implement best-in-class UI/UX requirements, partnering closely with design, technology and product teams.
• Initial focus will be on requirements and roadmaps for (1) Product usage data and analytics; (2) product UI/UX; (3) IDaaS
Product Lifecycle
• Drive overall product lifecycle stages, including the approach for:
◦ Product beginning – Roll out a newly defined product launch process in North America and Europe
◦ Product lifespan – Create general product lifespan guidelines based on industry standards
◦ Product end-of-life – Participate in strategies to remove products from market and move customers to newer, more modern solutions
• Partner will LOB leaders to monitor and ensure best practices and execution at the various stages of the product lifecycle process.
• Refresh existing customer-facing product lifecycle policies as needed, partnering closely with the Legal Team on language and rollout
Requirements:
• College degree; MBA or graduate degree strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years Product Management experience, 8-12 years of Product Management or comparable experience preferred
• Experience developing product requirements for B2B products delivered via SaaS, APIs, and/or mobile
• Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively in a global, matrixed, corporate environment
• Familiarity with B2B Financial, Trade Credit, Compliance, Supply and/or Sales & Marketing solutions
• Agile development methodology (LEAN and LEAN Startup is a plus)
• Certification by Pragmatic Marketing a plus
• Roll up sleeves to quickly execute
• Employ diplomacy with business partners while aggressively driving initiatives forward
• Bring creative new views or ways of thinking about product prioritization
• Process the “what it all means” and summarize into the “bigger picture” for effective communication and adoption
