We are looking for a Project Manager to support New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), and working with all NYLIM businesses.
Key Role Responsibilities and Functions
• Accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating and delivering on strategic initiative(s).
• Project management of large scale projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and matrix partners, including planning, driving, managing, and ensuring successful execution of project process
• Frame and analyze complex problems, recommending realistic solutions
• Lead various work stream meetings to ensure key initiatives move forward on schedule.
• Track and communicate key activities to Head of PMO & Communications and senior management.
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of NYLIM Town Hall and strategic offsite meetings.
• Act as a point of contact for the Head of PMO & Communications, investment boutiques and other stakeholders
• Manage and trouble-shoot ad hoc requests
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree, MBA or CFA preferred
• Program/Project Management Professional (PMI PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
• Domestic and International asset management industry experience and capital markets exposure preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Communicates complex ideas; persuades and negotiates with others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills with internal and external business partners
• Ability to lead and work effectively in cross functional teams
• Demonstrates sound judgment and organizational awareness
• Detailed and results oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
