Responsibilities:
• Daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation and reporting of Unregistered Products (commingled pools, separate/institutional accounts).
• Analyzes data to identify potential issues and performs research to develop appropriate solutions.
Essential Functions:
• Perform reconciliations for assigned group of funds/accounts
• Analyze custodian data against accounting system to identify potential problems
• Develop and communicate appropriate solutions
• Preparation of scheduled and ad-hoc reporting for internal and external customers
• Ensures that required records are maintained and stored according to appropriate retention policy in a timely and accurate manner
• Assists in development and maintenance of policies and procedures for all work performed
• Assists in identifying opportunities for process improvement and greater efficiency
Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• 1 – 3 years of Investment Accounting/Operations/Account Reconciliation experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• General knowledge of investment and financial services industries
• Ability to work independently within established guidelines
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel; accounting system knowledge preferred
• Strong:
◦ Interpersonal and customer service skills
◦ Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
◦ Verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Understanding of and ability to reconcile alternative investments (SWAPS, Futures, Options, FX Forwards) preferred
• Knowledge of global and emerging markets preferred
