The Project and Program Risk Manager is responsible for providing regulatory liaison support and management, in addition to ORCs, compliance and audits deliverables. This key role will support the policies, regulations, functions, processes and procedures to manage risk. This key role will also supports the overall process improvements for delivery, standards and risk management. This position directly reports to the Head of Governance and Standards, Transformation and Portfolio Delivery Office.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Supports the policies, regulations, functions, processes, procedures, management and control of projects and programs.
• Prioritize mapping and tracking to projects. Ensure Risk and Compliance are embedded in processes.
• Incorporate effective change and risk management controls that are practical and effective.
• Ensure governance processes are flexible to accommodate large programs and agile methodologies.
• Support the adherence of Citizens Bank quality procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and established controls.
• Stay informed on regulatory changes, monitoring the business continuity program as it relates to audit and regulatory compliance. Identify and develop the practices, procedures, policies, work products, templates and tools deemed necessary for enhanced project management techniques.
• Support and collaborate, cross-organization, to define the approach, tools, processes, structure and governance aligned to strategic business goals and priorities.
• Provide support in training and the tools for success.
• Develop, track and report on Risk Management Key Performance indicators
• Analyze relevant issues and situations and rank project risk by probability and impact.
• Clearly communicate risk management processes to all stakeholders and routinely socializes and updates a prioritized list of improvements and initiatives.
• Stay informed on company-wide initiatives and effectively evaluate the impact of those initiatives on current and pipe-line projects.
• Promote a risk-aware project delivery culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
• Demonstrate capacity for strategic thinking, risk adherence, project planning and project management.
Customer focused in all interactions, with the ability to understand customer requirements and incorporate into business decisions.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years in a Risk Management role.
• Minimum of 5-7 years project and/or program management experience.
• Excellent collaboration skills at multiple levels of an organization (internal and external)
• Minimum 2 years in a PMO role.
• Change Management and Adult Learning Principles exposure.
• Proven success managing end-to-end delivery to time, cost and quality.
• In-depth knowledge and proven application of Program and Project Management methodologies and full project lifecycle including documentation standards, risk, issue, assumption and dependency management and change controls process.
• Excellent decision making skills -- ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Well rounded knowledge of banking products and terminology.
Educational, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.
• PMP a plus
