This position will be with AEGON Asset Management, the organization which oversees asset management for many of Transamerica's insurance and operating companies as well as third party clients. Position Overview:
Source new investor relationships and manage existing relationships for real estate investments sponsored by Aegon Asset Management (AAM). Additional responsibilities include portfolio management and fund structuring, negotiate credit facilities within fund investments, provide market pricing feedback on underlying fund investments, and manage all aspects of client accounts to ensure adherence with mandate/fund provisions. Such responsibilities include but are not limited to communicating effectively with clients throughout all stages of the investment life cycle, obtaining necessary approvals for actions where investor consent is required, researching and presenting new investment opportunities, review and negotiate legal agreements, and all other responsibilities associated with maintaining investor accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Frequent travel to prospective and existing institutional clients.
• Must fully understand AURA’s products and services to make effective presentations.
• Collaborate with various internal and external parties to achieve desired results.
Required Qualifications:
• Degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate or other relevant area, or an equivalent education provided from experience.
• Minimum of seven years of real estate experience. Specific experience in LIHTC or Commercial Mortgage Loan Origination a plus.
• Strong sales, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with a proven track record in attracting new business.
• Familiarity with Excel spreadsheet software, and basic structuring of real estate transactions.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and accomplish tasks with little oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or other relevant post-graduate degree
Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
