Description
The Director of Reporting and Analytics will lead a team of individuals who provide methodologies, processes, architectures, and technologies that transform raw data into meaningful and useful information to support regulatory, compliance and business performance management efforts. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Financial Operations. A successful candidate for this role will have background in business intelligence tools and program implementation, data warehousing, predictive data analytics, statistical modeling, MIS reporting and will possess profound technical skills in data manipulation. The right candidate will also possess sound business acumen, track record of success implementing large scale projects, leading cross functional teams of analysts and quantifying value delivered to an organization’s bottom line.
Responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for setting the strategic direction and effectively managing the Reporting and Analytics operations. Director is responsible for managing all operations, processes, staff development, policies and procedures within the group
• Responsible for managing and collaborating with business partners across Ocwen to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all Reporting requirements
• Regularly communicate analytical results with senior management, rating agencies, investors/auditors, and other stakeholders within the organization
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement to the existing reporting infrastructure using better tools, methodologies and reduction strategies.
• Manage teams to contribute to the organization’s strategies and business opportunities through data mining, statistical analysis and leveraging key business insights to deliver maximum operational efficiency with minimal cost.
• Influence internal clients on the best analytics approach to address their challenge. Requires integrating knowledge of business issues with expertise in analytical and statistical methodologies and customer data.
• Manage teams to oversee the business performance analysis including seasonality and response patterns, and variances between expected and actual results. Adapt prospective models based on variances to expectation and course-correct quickly.
• Manage and develop professional staff including delegation of work, providing project supervision and providing expert counsel on analytical methodologies as well as business knowledge context. Establish ongoing training and oversight to constantly develop the skills of the Business Intelligence & Analytics team.
• Manage Key Strategic Initiatives and Projects as needed
Key Result Areas will include:
• Timely and accurate delivery of information to key stakeholders, external compliance, and regulatory bodies.
• Implement a business intelligence program that reduces the reliance on manual effort and automates information delivery process.
• Identify and implement quality controls on critical business metrics ensuring highest degree of confidence in its reporting to internal as well as external entities.
• Champion the culture of analytical excellence by continuous delivery of value to the bottom line.
Qualifications
• Masters Degree in an analytical field such as Engineering, Math, Physics, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology
• MBA from a top tier school will be a plus.
• 10+ years professional experience serving in a Business Intelligence and Analytics role.
• Financial Services related experience will be a plus.
• Deep experience predictive and statistical data analytics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data technologies including large relational databases, data management, business intelligence toolset (i.e. SAS, Oracle, Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy, etc.)
• Assertive (yet diplomatic) personality and the ability to handle and embrace rapid change.
• Ability to lead, influence and motivate others. Ability to present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport persuades others and promotes understanding and consensus building.
• Strong consultation and presentation skills.
• Self-starter and ability to deal with ambiguous situations.
