The Director of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is primarily responsible for designing and building the EAI backbone. This position will work closely with subject matter experts (both business and applications), developers, engineers, and persons to develop and deploy EAI solutions. This position will develop detailed business objectives, customized integration solutions and maintain new and existing integration components using the appropriate design methods and tools. Will provide overall guidance to the EAI development team ensuring the solutions meet corporate objectives as defined by the Bank’s Technology Roadmap and other relevant documentation.
In addition they will be responsible for building the framework and infrastructure to build common reusable components for core applications. Bring an enterprise perspective to all technology-based initiatives. Ensure effective communication and interaction with key associates involved in the delivery of the EAI solution.
Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to the EAI team by developing and communicating middleware-based EAI architecture, strategies, guidelines, standards and best practices.
• Create high-level design artifacts such as common business object models, component models and design abstracts
• Manage development lifecycle of EAI products; including development, testing, QA and release to production, as well as current and thorough documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, results and troubleshooting/FAQ.
• Remain current with EAI tools, technology and best practices.
• Ensure the products rolled out have the appropriate amount of support and is functioning smoothly throughout the enterprise as appropriate
• Work collaboratively within IS and outside of IS for all current and future projects
• Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
• Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
• Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems related curriculum or equivalent education and related training
• Twelve+ years’ experience in developing large, mission critical and secured application solutions
• Experience in system design, application architecture and application integration involving legacy and distributed systems
• Six+ years’ experience with object oriented technology, open systems and reusable component based application development
• Recognized expert in development of complex application integration solutions in a financial services environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various IS sections in a service area as well as other Project Management, System Architects, Data Technology Architects and key IT personnel
• Expert in understanding of technology planning and infrastructure development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
• Excellent understanding of client service models and customer orientation in service delivery
• Must have project management and leadership skills
• Five /Eight years relevant experience in the IT industry working as a software developer. Knowledge and use of Web Services, databases and other types connectors and services is necessary. Knowledge and use of XML is necessary.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the enthusiasm to learn the inner workings of a large complex system
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills to effectively work in a dynamic environment

• Hands-on experience in flows, activities, flow actions, screens, and validation rules, SLAs, declarative rules, agents, etc.
