The primary responsibility of the Wealth Management Consultant (WMC) is to educate, train and work collaboratively with Private Wealth Advisors and Financial Advisors to drive revenue by identifying, positioning, and closing sales opportunities. The WMC will help team members with: The LIFE Wealth Cycle Sales Process along with The Building Blocks of LIFE and Gap Analysis Wealth Planning capabilities of Union Bank Investments on both the Brokerage and Investment Management and Trust platforms Trust and Estate Services Insurance The goal will be to drive wealth planning opportunities that will in-turn drive investment, trust and insurance revenue from existing and prospective clients. The WMC will work closely with Bank leadership teams and Wealth Strategist(s) in the region to consistently touch each branch/hub and present a unified “lead with planning” message The WMC will also collaborate with relationship managers to deepen existing client relationships by providing advice around wealth planning concepts, articulate current investment views and position investments, trust services and insurance solutions where appropriate. Other responsibilities include assisting with the use of various wealth planning and client sales related tools, participating in the development of content for relationship manager training and focused sales calls.
Major Responsibilities:
• Grow fee-based revenue including investments, trust and insurance.
• Create wealth planning opportunities by educating/training our team members and key partners regarding the Bank’s wealth planning capabilities and process.
• Collaborate with relationship managers to help identify opportunities with existing clients and new prospects.
• Partner with relationship managers in conducting joint client/prospect meetings to close new business opportunities.
• Increase wealth planning volume and execution leading to increased revenue through investments, trust services and insurance.
• Be a Wealth Markets investment platform subject matter expert
• Work closely with the Wealth Strategist in the region and the Centralized Wealth Planning team.
• Focus on ongoing relationship manager development through new hire training, advanced training workshops/role plays and one to one coaching sessions.
• Partner with key leaders in the region to measure effectiveness and make changes to strategy if needed.
Qualifications
• 10+ years managing multiple functions or teams simultaneously
• 5+ years of progressive responsibility and direct experience with a banking institution, large public accounting firm, or other relevant regulated industry
• Experience working directly with all levels of staff, clerical to executive management
• Drive growth in Start-Up Businesses
• Lead transformational change efforts
• Series 7,66 CA Life Insurance license, CFP Preferred
