Reporting to the Wholesale Mortgage Region Manager, responsible for developing strong relationships with approved Mortgage Brokers, to improve quality of loan packaging and increase volume of loans submissions to the Bank.
Major Responsibilities:
90%: Responsible for establishing and developing the mortgage brokers in assigned territory to improve quality of loan submissions and increase funded loan volume with the Bank.
• Spends the majority of time in face to face visits with approved mortgage brokers.
• Accountable for further deepening of the broker relationship with the Bank.
• Develop the Broker's relationship by educating them on the Bank loan products, pricing, guidelines, regulations and compliance and services; actively manages loan pipeline and actively works with management and other appropriate personnel on timely resolution of any issues.
• Develop and execute account development plans with each assigned broker account and works with team members to build stronger broker relationships and help the overall contribution to the bottom line.
• Manages to monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
10% Develop a pipeline of active and viable broker leads, including determining which prospects to call on, and the priority and scheduling of calls.
• Continually identify new broker prospects and develop and present effective marketing approaches to prospects, primarily through on-site visits.
• Interview prospective brokers to determine if broker meets minimum requirements to be considered for broker approval by the Bank.
• Assist in the timely new broker approval, on boarding and training process. Ensure all activities comply with compliance regulations.
Qualifications
Additional Information:
• Generally 5 + years of work direct experience, preferably as Wholesale Mortgage Account Executive.
• Requires demonstrated experience in self-directed abilities.
• Requires strong relationship building skills and excellent communication skills delivered through a variety of communication channels - specifically including face-to-face, written, email, group seminars, etc.
• Requires full knowledge of Bank's mortgage products, programs and practices; requires understanding of the Bank underwriting guidelines for various products, requires complete understanding of the loan process from submission to funding and State and Federal lending regulations and compliance. Ability to develop and grow broker contacts.
