Basic Purpose:
The Director of Digital Marketing has primary responsibility for the overall customer experience across Eaton Vance websites and other digital properties. He/she is accountable for strategy, execution and analysis of web and digital experiences at Eaton Vance, supporting enterprise investment management businesses (retail, institutional, international, NextShares) including affiliate brands such as Calvert.
Key responsibilities include the orchestration of relevant/timely digital experiences that drive awareness of Eaton Vance, customer engagement with relevant Eaton Vance product and thought-leadership content, development of high-quality tools and service experiences for existing B2B and B2C customers, and creative expression of the Eaton Vance brand.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Digital Strategy: Provide strategic leadership for digital vision, website roadmap, marketing campaigns and new partnership initiatives. Identify priorities and execute on them
• Website execution: Design, develop, improve and maintain Eaton Vance websites across the globe, partnering with the Eaton Vance IT team
• Product Content: Activate engaging investment product content from product pages to interactive tools and infographics, including downloadable product literature
• Sales Support: Build experiences that enable Eaton Vance Sales team to engage with financial advisors, institutional plan sponsors, institutional consultants and other financial intermediaries across EV digital properties
• Advertising: Oversee paid media opportunities designed to drive Eaton Vance product awareness and client engagement as well as distributed content through 3rd party properties and social media
• Reporting and Analytics: Monitor digital channel performance and optimize on a regular basis
• Key initiatives: serve as business sponsor and project manager to deliver a digital experience for all major marketing initiatives
• Team Management: Supervise a diverse team and outside agency partners. Partner effectively with Channel Marketing teams, Sales Management, Creative and IT
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a marketing agency or corporate marketing team. BA required, MBA a plus
• Demonstrated expertise with digital strategy, web platforms, content and data management systems and social media/mobile properties
• Key competencies include strategic leadership, project management, team management, customer experience, marketing campaign implementation
• Understanding of investment products such as mutual funds, SMAs, Closed-End Funds, ETFs, equity, fixed income, alternatives and hedge funds at a leading retail firm (e.g. Fidelity, State Street, Vanguard, T. Rowe Price, Franklin Templeton) targeted to National Full Service/Wirehouse firms is desirable but not necessary
• Ability to act tactically and think strategically.
• Managing a diverse group of senior stakeholders across the business.
