Purpose of Job
We are seeking a talented Director, Strategic Workforce Planning to join our HR Strategic Workforce Planning team. This team will design and implement future state strategic talent planning capabilities that are required to achieve USAA’s business strategy
We are currently seeking talented Director, Strategic Workforce Planning for our San Antonio, TX facility.
The Director of Workforce Planning is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of strategic and operational workforce plans and forecast. This individual is also responsible for driving integration of the Forecasting process across the various businesses, call center scheduling, finance, and staff agencies. This position also directs the development and production of critical workforce analytics that reveal industry trends as well as business trends. These analytics are presented to senior management and used to solve business issues and identify positive as well as negative trends.
Job Requirements
• Creates fulfillment plans to align call center management, corporate real estate, staffing and training for optimal efficiency.
• Leads the development of workforce plans to address enterprise business needs and align staffing for optimal efficiency.
• Interacts across key enterprise stakeholders to deliver an efficient and effective Forecast Process.
• Reviews, updates, and improves workforce forecasting methods to provide reliable, consistent forecast and plan data.
• Leads cross functional teams to develop hiring plans to meet the demands of the enterprise.
• Provides guidance in identifying workforce trends across the business groups through analytics and provides feedback to Senior Leadership regarding emerging trends or patterns across all groups of the enterprise.
• Reviews, updates, and improves workforce planning and forecasting methods to provide reliable, consistent forecast and plan data.
• Defines methodology and helps set objectives concerning key Board Level metrics.
• Assists in communicating this metric in concert with EC member's guidance, corporate mission and objectives.
• Responsible for reporting this metric on board documents in both monthly and year end board packages.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Human Resources or related discipline required.
4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 8 or more years of relevant Workforce Planning & Forecasting or HR Metrics experience, to include leadership experience
• 3 or more years of direct team lead or management experience required.
• Subject-matter-expert knowledge of the function/discipline and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required.
• Subject-matter-expert level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required.
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred
• Master’s Degree, Strategic Workforce Planning certification, Process Design experience and/or certification
• Experience developing long range (3 years +) workforce planning and forecasts
• Strong acumen to identify future talent/skill needs based on business strategy
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience briefing Executive leaders
• Demonstrated experience successfully working in ambiguous environments
• Highly proficient critical thinking, analysis, business planning and forecasting skills
• Familiarity with OneSource, Hyperion, and other relevant technologies
***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
