Job Description:
Responsible for strategic and program management oversight of portfolio optimization program including market consolidations, compressions, and workplace efficiency projects in support of C-suite sponsored client post-merger Savings Initiative
Essential Job Duties:
• Evaluate planned portfolio reduction projects to validate financial assumptions and feasibility of implementation from a transaction execution, project execution, and workplace strategy standpoint
• Partner with project management to identify and mitigate risks to timely project implementation with particular focus on changes in client strategic direction and change management risks
• Develop alternative scenarios and new scenarios to drive incremental savings and present and support presentation to clients for decision
• Spearhead sensitivity analysis to illustrate the potential impact of a shift in assumptions on savings outcomes and/or portfolio performance metrics
• Develop formal client presentations on strategic opportunities, risks, and progress and assist in presenting to senior leaders both internally and in client presentations
• Package portfolio performance metrics into executive presentations and dashboards
• Package actual and forecasted Savings results in executive presentations and dashboards
• Analyze current and forecasted portfolio metrics and evaluate against industry standard best practices by building, market, region, and globally
• Compile and package best practice benchmarks and case studies to share with client leaders to illustrate opportunities and/or validate proposed solutions.
Other Job Functions:
• Validate and provide input/direction to transaction management on transaction assumptions for Savings initiative driven transactions
• Validate and provide input/direction to project management on project costs estimates and timeline assumptions for Savings initiative driven projects
• Interface with project space planner/architect to validate that test fits and space design are aligned with strategic workplace efficiency goals
• As applicable, take an active role in project team for high profile workplace efficiency projects
• Serve as on account liaison and support to strategic consulting group for any new engagements
Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Management/Business; MBA a plus
• Minimum 7-10 years of previous experience in portfolio optimization, post-merger integration consulting, strategic planning, transaction management, and/or regional space planning
• General knowledge of real estate transactions, project management, space planning, and financial & accounting concepts
• Exceptional written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex topics to clients and coworkers
• Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Skills
• Ability to read and interpret test fits and space plans (CAD/CAFM skills are not required)
