Job Summary:
Reporting to the LATAM CFO, responsible for comprehensive and complex financial analyses for a business group. Prepare and supervise preparation of complex analytical and financial reports. Responsible for oversight and quality control for accurate and actionable financial analysis to Directors of supported Divisions. Responsible for budgeting and planning process, the cost management program, project financial analysis Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA)/ ROI), staff modeling and unit costing of products and services. Conduct and direct highly technical accounting-based research and analysis projects. Make presentations and recommendations to management.
Major Responsibilities:
• Support and oversee financial activities for teams within the assigned division, including financial strategy, direction and analytics.
• Oversee and manage the development of financial models to evaluate, measure, and analyze drivers impacting various business areas within ISA. This includes, but not limited to, drivers for balance sheet and expense area by business lines and cost functions as well as the development, identification and implementation of operational metric and new analytical tools.
• Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for planning and control.
• Manage the preparation of detailed financial analysis, projections and reports and expense efficiencies.
• Responsible for the annual budget process, monthly forecasting process and annual business planning process for divisions supported.
• Monitor division performance with relation to budgetary boundaries.
• Prepare forecasting and explanations of variances to budget to Management & FP&A.
• Responsible for assigned month end reporting, including accruing for expenses, proper classification of activity and working with business partners for additional information.
• Monitor actual costs and activity to ensure proper treatment and accounting.
• Render financial advice for planning and decision making.
• Provide financial advice / expertise to Sr. Management and make recommendations.
• Leads and conducts and direct financial-based research and projects.
• Work collaboratively across all BTS teams, identifying best practices and process efficiencies.
• 20% - Allocates resources according to accomplishing the business objectives.
• Manage processes for the team including transitioning & reviewing work to the offshore team.
• 10% - Ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Oversee general ledger system, review and monitor financial reports.
• Review and reconcile vendor systems and sub systems for accuracy and adherence to accounting regulations and tie to the general ledger system.
• Independently conduct investigations and correct information when necessary.
• Recommend changes to the budget based on management strategies, business activities and for future needs.
• Build and prepare monthly financial reports for Executives and managers.
• General responsibilities will be 40% budget/forecasting; 20% management reporting; 25% variance analysis, 5% accounting for month-end close; and 10% ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications
• Typically requires a four-year college degree and / or Master's in Accounting or Finance (or comparable work experience).
• 10+ years of increasingly more complex responsibility in performing financial analysis.
• Requires the ability to conduct complex financial analysis.
• Familiarity of Hyperion based ERP is a plus.
• Strong understanding of FP&A processes including month-end close.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• Detail oriented with the potential to work efficiently and independently with little supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to include listening, verbal and written skills.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under time pressure and handle multiple tasks/projects at the same time.
• Problem resolution skills with strong analytical skills, sound judgment and ability to work effectively with clients and technical staff.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
