Position Overview:
Responsible for assisting in managing, monitoring and coordinating an effective compliance program to assure that the organization maintains the required level of compliance set forth by its regulatory agencies for all assigned entities. Assures Compliance with various Federal and State laws and regulations governing the conduct of the Bank’s affairs to ensure the Bank’s compliance goals and objectives are met. Ensures ongoing effectiveness of the compliance program by continuously providing oversight, risk assessment and testing, enhancements to keep the program proactive.
Key Accountabilities:
• Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective actions plans with line management for resolution of problematic issues and provides guidance on how to avoid similar situations in the future;
• Maintains competent level of expertise and knowledge of the requirements of the various laws and regulations governing the Bank’s activities. Monitors and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments identifying KRI’s to remain proactive in assuring mitigating controls are in place and any trends are proactively monitored.
• Identifies applicable data and uses data analytics to identify potential risks and identifies mitigating controls. Reports on status of activities to management.
• Oversees reviews of products, forms, disclosures, policies and procedures to comply with applicable laws. Provides direction to lines of business regarding compliance questions.
• Continuously acts as a resource to business lines for compliance related issues.
• Continuously works on providing more effective and proactive techniques for enhancing the Compliance program.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Finance or Economics majors preferred)
• 3-5 years of Compliance experience
• CRCM Preferred
• Strong verbal and written communications skills required
• Advanced Computer Skills (Microsoft Products, databases, CRA/Fair Lending WIZ)
