Position Description
The role will support Mortgage Operations Accounting/Analysis & Reporting
Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for daily/weekly and monthly mortgage related reconciliations and overall balancing routines between the mortgage sub ledger (SBO ) and the general ledger (SAP). These are key SOX controls.
• Responsible for Real Estate Owned (REO) portfolio accounting, which includes obtaining valuations and ensuring that properties are accounted for in accordance with underlying accounting best practices/authoritative guidance.
• Provide support for the month end/quarter end mortgage close process through preparation of the Yield Analysis and other key metrics ( non accrual loans etc).
• Prepare various quarterly/annual mortgage reporting templates to support SEC, Regulatory and Risk reporting.
• Special Projects as assigned --Including support of Back Up Servicer, DTC Originations Initiatives and other ad hoc.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• BS/BBA degree in Accounting/Finance required
• 2-3 Years of experience
• SAP experience
• Proficient MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) preferred
• Attention to detail balanced with knowing the right level necessary to deliver on requirements
• Proven track record of driving for results with minimal ongoing direction
• Ability to support change and process improvements
• Energetic and inquisitive, quick learner, takes initiative, team player
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Ability to organize data, perform independent analysis and provide explanations to management
Education level:
Required: Bachelor Degree
