Job Purpose (Job Summary):
At Invesco, we recognize that tight integration between sales and marketing is paramount for distribution efforts to succeed in today’s market place. In this newly created and highly visible position, the Channel Marketing Director for Wealth Management Platforms (WMP) will be responsible for creating and leading expert tactical execution of integrated, omni-channel, strategic marketing plans, programs and campaigns focusing on key relationships at our client distribution firms. The successful candidate will be a motivating leader having accountability for “standing up” a new marketing channel, as well as being a strong critical thinker, collaborator and innovator who can effectively drive demand and growth of Invesco products/product placements and promote brand advocacy. WHO IS WMP? The WMP team is Invesco’s national account team. They are responsible for building systematic, trust-based relationships at all levels with key contacts and gatekeepers at our client distribution firms. They do this by ensuring that we coordinate holistically across the firm, proactively bringing the best of Invesco to these partners and anticipating client product and platform needs.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Works shoulder-to-shoulder with WMP senior leaders, directors, and associate directors
• Leads the development of both short-term and long-term integrated sales/marketing strategies and plans to drive advocacy and influence product placements at key distributor firms
• Creates and executes “always on” fully integrated, omni-channel marketing plans and leads a forward-thinking idea pipeline to drive growth and keep Invesco “top-of-mind and tip-of-tongue”
• Develops and contextualizes targeted, client-centric, digital-first content, messages, and experiences across all touchpoints ensuring sustained engagement among all WMP client segments
• Innovates and always looks for new ways to cut through the noise and raise Invesco’s profile, ensuring our clients see and “connect” with our offers, messages, and content
• Conducts research, including client and stakeholder interviews, to ensure we have an ongoing pulse on what is most relevant to our clients now and in the future
• Becomes fully engrained in the ecosystem and cadence of each firm building and cultivating strong relationships with client partners along the way
• Works across functions to lead and develop 360 profiles of our home office clients that will inform a targeted 1:1 engagement strategy
• Develops key performance metrics aligned with a distribution (marketing and sales) strategy
• Meets continuously with business leaders and partners to review results and discuss potential modifications and/or new opportunities – listen, learn, engage, adjust
• Performs competitive analysis and identifies gaps and opportunities in the marketplace
• Keeps abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies, and competitors or other companies that are changing and influencing our clients’ businesses
• Collaborates across a complex, highly matrixed group, including sales business development, field sales management, investment teams, channel, digital, product, and brand marketing, PR, etc
• Adheres to legal regulations and industry practices regarding the marketing of investment management products
Qualifications
Work Experience / Knowledge:
• 10+ years directly related work experience leading marketing efforts and/or business
• Experience working on a Retail National Accounts team or as part of a Retail National Accounts Marketing team preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of and interest in the asset management industry
• Experience designing and executing omni-channel integrated marketing programs
• Proficiency across a range of marketing disciplines (with a focus on digital), such as web/mobile experiences, short form video, SEO, content marketing, events (virtual and in-person), etc.
• Experience building strong, co-branded and/or white-label programs with large client firms
• Strong background developing client segmentation strategies
• Experience working with CRM systems and marketing automations tools such as Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Siebel, or Marketo is preferred

• Excellent end-to-end project management demonstrating the ability to drive from strategy to seamless deployment
• A strong leader and team player that believes in the power of collaborative work and interacts with co-workers in a collegial and respectful manner
Formal Education:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required
License/Registration/Certification:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)
• CFA or CIMA designation preferred, but not required
Working Conditions:
• Normal office environment
• Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
• Willingness to travel as necessary for client and internal meetings (usually less than 25% of time)
