FINANCE OPPORTUNITY IN PGIM

The Finance team for PGIM, currently has an opening for a Director of Financial Modeling & Technology. Your role on this team will be to lead the development & implementation of a new integrated financial modeling platform for PGIM, which will be utilized to meet business intelligence, data analytics and corporate planning and stress testing needs. The candidate is responsible for partnering with internal, and at times external technology solution providers, as well as PGIM business finance teams and business leaders, to deliver a best in class multi-scenario forecast and business analytics solution for PGIM and Prudential.

This role also has the ability to be structured with a formal flexible work arrangement.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a direct team of 2-3 people
• Lead and oversee the development and implementation of a new PGIM Financial Modeling & Business Intelligence solution
• Develop modeling solutions to forecast and/or analyze profitability by business, customer and product, in partnership with business and PGIM finance teams
• Analyze and recommend technology and modeling solutions in partnership with Enterprise Software & Solutions (“ESS”) team
• Partner closely with business finance teams to finalize business requirements and with technical partners to ensure that the technical specifications and ultimate model/system will meet or exceed business and corporate needs
• Oversee testing & modeling implementation
• Evaluate and recommend process changes to support new modeling capabilities (as needed)
• Ensure adequate documentation of model specifications and operating instructions
• Develop training plan in conjunction with ESS training team
• Provide status updates to and solicit key decision input from senior management & steering committee
Specific responsibilities for the position will vary over time based on business needs and other factors.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Accounting or Finance concentration is a plus)
• Experience in financial modeling and/or business intelligence
• Ability to manage a large project across multiple constituencies
• 7+ years of relevant work experience (finance, technology or preferably both)
• Proven ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results
• Leadership / supervisory experience
• Strong collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Computer science / technology / software development experience or credentials are a plus
• Previous related industry experience
