Description
The Director, Analytics is primarily responsible for leading a team of Analytics professionals in delivering value to Cotiviti’s operations and, ultimately, our clients. This leader serves as a business partner to our operational leaders, ensuring analytic deliverables are transparently reviewed, prioritized, assigned and delivered as committed in a way that adds business value. Additionally, the Director, Analytics clearly guides the execution and valuation of deliverables that meet company goals, and mentors the team to meet their professional goals. This role will focus on our Retrospective Claims Accuracy (RCA) business.
This Analytics Leader harnesses the potential of Analytics to ensure generation of new intellectual property, illuminate client and business opportunities, develop innovative analytic solutions to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness, and maintain business intelligence capabilities.
Leadership
Projects a clear picture of excellence for the team, clearly communicating all expectations as well as future goals. Maintains a high degree of professionalism, consistency, and a positive demeanor at all times. Ensures a motivated culture by developing motivational programs to increase team loyalty and to create a positive atmosphere in the department. Analytics
Understands and communicates the value of Analytics to our business and our clients. Leads execution related to complex operational, financial, and statistical analysis. Synthesizes results to enhance audit production. Analyses to include operations, quality, financial/ROI. Synthesizes results to identify indicators of poor performance and communicate findings to business stakeholders. Makes critical recommendations based on analytical findings.

Can be counted on to consistently meet or exceed goals and perform at expected levels of quality and productivity. Demonstrates willingness and readiness to take on more responsibility in support of the audit. Removes roadblocks to monetizing analytics value.

Intellectual Property Development
Works with the Analytics Team and Business stakeholders to develop and/or refine intellectual property relating to payment accuracy opportunities.
Provides analytics and metrics to identify and value new opportunities. Proactively works with business stakeholders to fully implement and monetize new opportunities. Business SMEs will be responsible for providing detail business knowledge; however, this role will own goals of developing new intellectual property.
Operational Reporting
Establishes reporting and insights for operations to drive business improvement. Key performance metrics are co-developed with the business leaders to ensure data integrity supports valid observations and recommendations.
Productivity Management
Ensures that productivity goals and standards set are consistently met or exceeded. Removes roadblocks to great performance. Monitors team coverage of responsibilities and accurately track daily attendance to assist with redistribution of work as necessary to achieve set targets. Promptly addresses and resolves issues impacting productivity. Builds trust, respect and a engagement through communication and positive reinforcement to create a tradition of maintaining and exceeding internal and external expectations.
Quality Management
Validity of insights is key to our success. This Leader ensures that the expected level of quality set by the department is consistently met or exceeded. Verifies completeness and accuracy of the work of the team. Promptly addresses and resolves issues impacting quality.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
• 7+ years of Analytics experience
• 5+ years of healthcare experience, preferably data modeling and analysis, such as in Healthcare Economics or similar group/function
• 3+ years leadership experience: people and projects
• Bachelor’s degree with analytical focus - actuarial science preferred, but may also include mathematics, statistics, physics, economics and computer science (focus in data management and analysis), advanced degrees preferred.
