Job Description
The Innovation practice is a national group comprised of a variety of teams that focus on implementing solutions internally and externally that will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' tax functions. Process improvement, transformation, system implementation, effective use of technology and data & analytics, and leveraging alternative delivery solutions are key areas of focus to drive additional value to our clients. This is a significant part of PwC's strategy to continue to be recognized as the leading professional services firm.
PricewaterhouseCoopers is nationally recognized for its in-depth tax technical knowledge and tax process improvement skill sets. The Tax Reporting and Strategy (TR&S) practice is dedicated to helping companies assess the complexities of delivering value and managing risk in their tax functions through the improvement of people, process, data and technology. Team members serve as business advisors to clients by leveraging a standard methodology to deliver sustainable tax performance improvement and tax accounting services. Our Tax Reporting and Strategy team features multi-disciplined staff including: accountants, attorneys, economists and technologists from a variety of backgrounds, including corporate tax professionals, tax professionals from law firms, technology professionals and tax advisors from the Firm's practice offices.
Our diverse skillsets combined with our established methodologies provide a unique perspective as we assist clients in transforming their tax processes from analysis to implementation.

Team members get exposure to a variety of areas including tax department operational performance improvement, SharePoint and document management, tax technology strategy, tax data management and analytics, tax accounting and vendor implementation, and strategy related to people and organizational structure.
PricewaterhouseCoopers is nationally recognized for its in-depth technical knowledge and experience in taxation. Our National Operations Group features a multi-disciplined staff including: accountants, attorneys, economists and technologists from a variety of backgrounds, including former government officials (e.g., from the Treasury Department, the IRS and Congressional tax staffs), corporate tax directors, tax professionals from law firms, technology professionals and tax advisors from the Firm's practice offices. Team members serve as business advisors to clients by: monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory tax developments; assisting clients in developing strategies in anticipation of tax law changes and regulatory developments;
analyzing the economic impact of tax legislation and federal budget proposals; and addressing technology needs to support tax function effectiveness.
Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in a business related field
Certification(s) Required: CPA, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Yellow, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Project Management Professional
Knowledge Preferred:
Extensive knowledge of management consulting services to clients and to their large corporate tax functions. Thorough knowledge of FAS 109 and FAS 109 software, Beta Management, Organization Design, Process Improvement, Controls, and Risk Management. Thorough knowledge of general tax.
Skills Preferred:
Extensive technical skills, including project management, change management, process improvement and business writing. Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection. Thorough experience as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
