JOB DESCRIPTION
The Vice President will be a member of the Global Good Funds Product Leadership Team responsible for supporting the strategy and growth of Visa’s debit, prepaid and ATM businesses, worldwide – with a focus on key markets and global initiatives. This person will articulate and advocate Visa’s unified global good funds strategy with a focus on the expansion of Visa’s debit, prepaid and ATM offerings. He/she will work closely with the SVP of Global Debit, Prepaid & ATM, regional and country product teams, and cross-functional partners to identify, prioritize and execute on key priorities. He/she will work closely with the global leads for prepaid and ATM, and partner with regional and country teams to ensure alignment and execute on strategic priorities. This person will also manage a team of flexible, consultative resources to lead or support key initiatives globally, in Visa’s regions, and at the market level. Ideal candidates will bring to the role wide ranging experience and insight across the payments environment from traditional banking to retail distribution to emerging channels in both developed and emerging markets. Global perspective and a strong grounding in
the management of product and country P&Ls is critical; specifically, understanding the unique nuances of each market, commonalities across markets, inspiring ideas, developing and testing concepts, and ensuring regional support. An understanding of product development, digital innovation and business and technology trends impacting the future is a must. Demonstrated strength in building and maintaining internal and external relationships will also be a critical factor to success.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Evolving and operationalizing the Global “Good Funds” strategy and priorities across products and regions in order to drive growth
• Identifying and prioritizing key countries for acceleration, and the specific activities that would be effective to do so
• Developing strategic proposals, business cases and resource plan
• Evaluating and developing an approach to working with national payment networks/ local schemes where possible and appropriate
• Driving global innovation and development of new digital debit features,
functionalities, and enhancements for worldwide deployment
• Developing actionable debit reporting and analytical tools to help the team monitor performance, strengthen corporate planning and resource allocation
• Build, own and deliver a pipeline of global initiatives as aligned with product and regional leadership teams
• Supporting global debit, prepaid and ATM client RFPs and strategic partnerships
• Leveraging Visa’s regional/global knowledge base (e.g. best practices, performance metrics, market insights, economics)
• Demonstrating subject matter expertise on technology/innovation trends both internally and externally, to guide global strategy and initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 18-20 years of experience in payments, with significant expertise in product
management and development, strategy consulting and execution
• Demonstrated success in developing, articulating and championing a strategy
• Passion for realizing opportunities and resolving issues in the payments industry,
particularly debit, prepaid and ATM products, with an ecosystem approach
• Global perspective and awareness of market differences and commonalities
• Strategic and analytical thinker; demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly
• Effective communicator, especially in teaching and influencing scenarios
• History of growing emerging businesses through strategy, innovation, development, and
commercialization of new products and services
• Results-oriented individual who challenges the status quo in order to drive a culture of
constant improvement
• Hands-on and nimble, while also able to navigate a globally matrixed environment
(modeler of collaboration and influence)
• Process oriented, with a high attention to detail and quality on both internal team
work and external products brought to market
• Ability to work in a fluid and innovative environment with shifting priorities
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
