Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The corporate communications director will lead communications programs in support of our strategic priorities by building on our efforts to activate Invesco’s purpose with employees worldwide, elevating our corporate responsibility profile, and developing a more robust senior leadership communications program, as well as leading or contributing to other global internal communications in partnership with our internal business functions. This individual will develop strong relationships with senior leadership to support their group’s internal communications efforts including organizational change communications plans, new program campaigns, speechwriting, the creation of blogs and videos, etc. They will lead and execute complex communications projects such as company acquisitions or other organizational changes, and activate other strategic programs aligned to our priorities.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Develop and execute complex communications plans and campaigns by developing communications strategies and driving the execution of these plans, which are often global in nature
• Present recommendations to senior leaders on communication plans and campaigns
• Lead communications working groups in the development and execution of internal communications programs such as town halls, organizational changes, and new or existing program campaigns
• Develop and implement internal communications programs in support of HR and other internal business partners such as our investment teams and corporate functions
• Create internal corporate communications such as articles, events, blogs, videos, graphics, employee profiles, for publication on the corporate intranet and other internal channels
• Support executive communications by writing and editing presentations, talking points, memos and other communications
• Develop additional approaches for measuring the effectiveness of our internal communications through dashboards
• Provide recommendations for continuously improving communications (adding new channels, evolving current ones, etc.) by analyzing the data trends and staying informed on new innovative communications approaches
Qualifications
Work Experience / Knowledge:
• 10+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in the asset management or financial services industry
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills, especially with senior leaders and a strong client service orientation
• Excellent communications planning and strategy experience and ability to execute on complex plans through strong project and timeline management
• Ability to work across teams to execute a communications plan. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Excellent writing and editing skills; experience building collaborative digital communications programs, a plus

Formal Education:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
License/Registration/Certification:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)

Working Conditions:
• Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures
• The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
• Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
• Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone
