The EVP of Dallas Commercial Banking will be responsible for maintaining an existing portfolio and aggressively growing the bank’s C&I business with a special focus on prospective clients in Dallas and surrounding cities that have annual revenues between $10-50 million
Responsibilities
• Recruit, lead and develop a team of commercial bankers with proven experience and relationships in the Dallas market
◦ Develop junior talent within the bank
• Manage the overall credit quality, risk and compliance of the Dallas commercial banking portfolio
• Review all new loan opportunities before they are submitted to credit partners
• Deepen the client relationship by making introductions to product partners within the bank including Treasury, Private Wealth, Swaps & Derivatives, etc.
• Develop a structured program to source clients through existing relationships, centers of influence and cold calling; Experience with Salesforce preferred
• Be available to attend sales and client meetings as requested by the Relationship Managers
• Be highly visible at internal, industry and charitable events
• Be an advocate for new technology as it is introduced within the bank
• Follow trends in the industry and stay current with changes in lending practices
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business
• Minimum 10 years experience as a commercial lender focused on the C&I market including experience with clients that have annual revenues between $10 and 50 million
◦ Proven success building relationships with business owners and C-level executives
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience with demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and motivate talent
• Strong credit and risk acumen
• Strong relationships in the Dallas business and charitable communities
• Effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across the organization
• Proficiency in the use of software tools for reports, audits, analysis and presentations
