Description
Traded Risk Control team is seeking for an experienced software engineer to build a platform for the CCAR Global Market Shock end-to-end production process. The platform will be common to both Market Risk and Traded Credit areas. Role may include working on Market Risk RWA calculation for various financial products according to Basel rules, Stress testing, Scenario automation and PnL decomposition. Support will include automating the gathering of all data required to fill out the 14Q / 14A GMS regulatory templates. The holder will also support ad hoc projects to further enhance and improve the overall CCAR program, given either internal changes related to the CCAR process and/or regulatory requirements issued by the Federal Reserve and/or OCC.
Impact on the Business
• Assist in the delivery of the CCAR Global Market Shock end-to-end process
• Production and quality assurance of the 14Q / 14A CCAR GMS regulatory reporting platform
• Work with Risk Controllers/Risk Managers as well as internal stakeholders to understand/establish business requirements
• Create technical documentation (systems specifications, release plans and user manuals)
• Active participation in full development cycle including requirement gathering, testing (SIT/UAT), implementation and post production support
• Ability to prepare/conduct training sessions with stakeholders
• On-going support and incremental enhancements for existing CCAR applications and processes already owned by Traded Risk Control

Qualifications
Must have
• Minimum 10 year’s proven Development / Systems Analyst experience in IT development
• Expertise in Excel Add-ons/Excel VBA/VBS or Java/JavaScript/Spring/Web Development
• Proficiency in object oriented principals, data structures and Multi-Threaded programming
• Understanding or programming against relational databases (SQL, stored procedures) – preferably Oracle/Sybase/Sybase IQ
• Windows Programming experience (CMD shell, Bash)
• Expertise in Software Build Tools such as Eclipse and Apache Maven
• Ability to write both unit test cases and end user test cases
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and reasoning skills
Nice to have
• Knowledge of traded credit and market risk management for products such as derivatives swaps, forwards, options, repos, securities financing, etc
• Experience writing financial (trading), risk and risk reporting software
