JHRPS is now seeking a seasoned Business Relationship Manager. The Business Relationship Manager acts as the liaison between the business units and the Information Services team. A strong blend of customer service, consulting, and account management skills are necessary to support strategic and tactical business objectives. This role reports directly into the Assistant Vice President, RPS IS Strategy and Service Team.
Responsibilities:
• Develop strong partnership with business areas
• Consult to translate business needs into IS opportunities
• Align IS Services with business strategies to drive success
• Facilitate monthly reviews of IS activities with business partners
• Leverage relationships to overcome barriers and build bridges to achieve results
• Continually look through the eyes of the customer and staff, focusing on business value proposition, the priorities, and direction
• Effectively communicate in all directions and levels of the organization with appropriate frequency and speed, use the language of the business
• Identify potential key issues before they arise and strive to mitigate them
• Review current and future projects, issues and accomplishments
• See the big picture and connect how all the pieces fit together
• Reinforce organizational and team level strategies
• Measure business partner satisfaction (survey)
• Create transparency by communicating IS service delivery model
• Facilitate project, small initiative, and enhancement intake
• Ensure proper communication around IS initiated changes and corresponding business impact
• Follow up on escalated systems related issues and ensure communication of root cause
• Manage expectations with IS and business partners
• Ensure effective delivery to the business partners
• Ensure continual improvements are being recognized across RPS
Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of corporate and / or financial services
• Ability to learn quickly about business and technology and its application to business situations
• Excellent individual and group management skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Strong consulting skills
• Strong influencing and networking skills; must be able to initiate change and work across departmental lines in a matrix structure
• Results orientated
• Complex problem solving skills
• Ability to motivate staff at all levels in changing environments
• Able to work effectively independently
