Job Summary:
Reporting to Business Unit CFO – Commercial Banking and Real Estate Industries, the role is responsible for management reporting for the two business units and will implement process to handle new, important work for the Bank and adapt existing processes for evolving business units.
Major Responsibilities:
• Drive enhancement in content and process of existing management reports
• Implement new reporting standards on coverage & product view
• Design and build reports for expanded inbound allocations leading to transparency, data to support challenge of results, actions to reduce demand and issue tracking
• Other reporting – monthly originations, daily balance reporting, peer analysis, geographic reporting and loan provision
• Comfortable interacting with Sr. Management, making presentations and recommendations
• Must be well versed in the bank’s financial systems and able to lead, drive, and present financial results from Hyperion Planning and other data sources
• Conduct and direct financial-based research and analysis projects
• Able to work collaboratively across organization
• May be responsible for the following:
◦ Produce monthly, quarterly, annually and ad hoc, financial reports regarding trends, variances, profitability and performance measurement
◦ Financial modeling, graphing and reporting.
◦ Analyze results and run checkpoint spreadsheets
◦ Generate/review and publish monthly reports with analysis
◦ Enhance customer profitability through relationship analysis
◦ Develop and produce returns (RoRWA, ROE) analysis
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree with 5+ years of experience in a bank, financial services or consulting/accounting firm
• Experience in Management Reporting
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Access, PowerPoint; ability to model and create complex spreadsheets, look up tables, pivot tables
• Experience with Hyperion, the Bank’s financial planning and management software
• Intermediate to advanced skills in data analysis and design, and data mapping
• Detail oriented with the ability to work efficiently and independently with little supervision
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under time pressure and handle multiple tasks/projects at the same time
• Basic understanding of banking products, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow analysis, returns measurement
• Understanding of the key drivers of profitability at the bank, line of business and relationship levels
• Strong Presentation & written communication skills
• Problem resolution experience requiring strong analytical skills, sound judgment and ability to work effectively with internal clients and technical staff
