Description
The Loan Administration Specialist provides administrative support for the Commercial Lending team and customer service and administrative support for our clients and bank staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to commercial lending team to best position its members to service existing customers and develop new business.
• Interact directly with customers via email and telephone to satisfy requests, address customer inquiries, process funds transfers and other loan-related matters.
• Coordinate documentation requests, including pre-closing due diligence, clearing exception items and completed document review.
• Assist lending officers with obtaining documents to clear documentation, insurance and financial exceptions.
• Assist senior management with projects that involve gathering and analyzing information to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with Treasury Management team to add/modify services to existing customers and to secure and maintain underlying documentation.
• Coordinate requests for construction loan advances, including balancing draws, ordering inspections, obtaining senior management approval for exceptions, and submitting draw requests to the title company.
• Handle customer transaction requests, balance inquiries, troubleshoot and investigate customer issues.
• Monitor exception reports and clear exceptions.
• Open commercial deposit accounts for new and existing customers.
• Order/obtain title insurance commitments, Phase 1 EPA reports, appraisals, UCC searches, flood determinations, organizational documents, OFAC checks, and good-standing reports.
• Prepare and distribute management reports for monthly Board of Directors’ meeting.
• Prepare loan coding sheets for new and renewal loans and coordinate with Centralized Credit Operations team to secure loan documents, including obtaining and scanning supporting documents to TREEV.
• Submit original documents for loan funding.

Qualifications
• o Three to five years’ experience working in a commercial lending and/or loan operations environment.
◦ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field is a plus.
◦ Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
◦ Highly proficient with Metavante, FIS IBS Insight, FIS ISView 11.0, IS NetWork, StorQM plus 4.0 for loan processing and customer service.
◦ Basic loan documentation and Treasury Management product knowledge.
◦ Knowledge of commercial lending business and loan administration best practices and policies.
◦ High level of interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential information. Constant tact and diplomacy are required.
◦ Some analytical skills are required for gathering and summarizing data for reports, seeking solutions to various customer issues and prioritizing work.
◦ Attention to detail is required for composing, typing and proofing documents, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
◦ Proven leadership and customer service skills.
◦ Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and a command of the English language.
◦ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook), TREEV, Exceptions Desktop, etc. is required.
◦ Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
