Job Description
Visa is seeking a Director to manage Credit Risk Products specifically Strategic Bankruptcy Solutions within Risk Products & Authentication. This position is responsible for supporting day to day activities, product strategy, product development and management which includes client facing activities. Visa offers a suite of bankruptcy solutions including bankruptcy notification, proof of claims, docket event monitoring, store and forward, deceased account monitoring, and other tools to support operational and strategic needs. This position manages and oversees technical development utilizing third party resources while ensuring business requirements meet Visa standards. Day to day operations include management of the suite of products
throughout their lifecycle, including reporting, integration efforts, and compliance activities.
Responsibilities
• Operate as subject matter expert for bankruptcy and credit risk products
• Assist in the creation of product marketing materials
• Support product management and enhancements and provide reporting to ensure project deadlines
are met
• Financial excellence including forecasting, revenue and expense tracking and billing reconciliation
• Support clients requirements/requests and provide best practices
• Create and refine product value, return on investment, and development of sales pipeline to meet
revenue targets
• Must work well independently and cross functionally
The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with senior leaders, provide recommendations for product strategy, development and management while also conducting detailed conversations with subject matter experts. The ideal person for this role should have a passion for risk, strong product background, data oriented and have an ability to work independently and cross-functionally to drive business results. Candidate will oversee technical development (SQL based environment using web services and other APIs) while also complying with governing requirements.
Qualifications
• 4+ years related professional work experience, preferably in a product development role
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code & Rules in the context of a financial institution
preferred
• Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and compliance requirements
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SQL, web services, APIs.
• Exceptional decision making abilities, demonstrating business/product strategy and
execution
• Must be rigorous in prioritization and execution of tasks and projects
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a diverse
team to build cooperative, productive relationships with internal and external
stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Financial institution and/or collections experience, a plus.
• Must be able to function autonomously and exercise sound judgment
• Must be familiar with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) compliance and practices that
impact client financial institutions.
• Skills and experience in technology applications preferred
• Experience with multiple lines of business, including bankcards, mortgage, auto, home equity preferred
