RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties:
Associate-Intermediate/Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Function on a team responsible for cross-product/entity monitoring and reporting of trades, transactions and positions to exchanges and regulators, whilst ensuring full compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Strategic infrastructure data analysis, including regulatory rule summaries/business requirements functional specifications and supporting data analysis/use cases, report/data result prototyping, data rules modeling/specification, use cases, test cases, testing execution and issues resolution; supporting regulatory analytics initiatives related to the delivery of Business Intelligence dashboards, issue remediation, and ad-hoc reports including regulatory analytics infrastructure requirements and design, and data analysis in support of projects and root cause analysis; redesigning, automating, and bringing offline processes online to enable teams to focus on higher level functions related to client service, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
Will accept a single or combination of degrees, diplomas or certifications deemed equivalent by a qualified credentials evaluations service. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in financial services.
Prior work experience must include five (5) years of experience: working with financial products, markets, trading flows, functions and systems in order to analyze and support regulatory reporting and monitoring control infrastructure.
Prior work experience must include two and a half (2.5) years of experience: working on global regulatory reports with specific market knowledge and working understanding of global financial regulations and reforms (such as Dodd Frank Act, EMIR, MiFID I and II, FINRA Rules, U.S. LOPR, Qualified Financial Contract) in order to support and ensure compliance; utilizing business analysis skills with specific experience in the development of Regulatory Rule Summary Documentation and Functional Specifications based on regulatory documentation such as FINRA Rules, TRUP, CESR, and report message specification templates specified by regulators/SROs such as DTCC or OCC; working with industry-standards related to the standardization and automation of OTC derivatives for regulatory reporting; utilizing understanding of the sensitivity of regulatory attributes with the intention of sourcing financial instrument information, designing system-specific and report-related controls and exceptions for risk mitigation; working with large technology implementation in capital markets and commodities domain, including defining requirements for specific regulations, producing test cases and scripts, identifying, escalating, tracking, and timely resolving defects; utilizing ability to prototype relational data sets using programming tool such as SQL, R, Python to extract, transform, enrich and analyze trade, positions, transactional and reference data pertaining to various derivatives and financial instruments from various database systems for testing desired outputs; analyzing and merging complex data sets across databases and servers using cross-server joins with data analytical tools (SQL, Alteryx, Tableau) in order to provide a unified representation of the underlying data and produce/validate reports for accuracy; using modeling and meta-modeling languages for the creation of specific models such as relational databases, mappings, transformations; utilizing quantitative and analytical data modeling tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Business Objects to produce metrics, design and implement dashboards for stakeholders and senior management with a focus on automating manual processes and contributing to the development of risk mitigation and increased control; executing initiatives pertaining to sourcing, process improvements, system upgrades, integration and migration; liaising with business users, compliance and technology professionals in a timely fashion to ensure accurate sourcing and reporting and to remediate known issues.
